UDL and Equity Consultant Development Program

July 2024- June 2025

This intensive, year-long journey is structured around a cohort model designed to cultivate a supportive and collaborative environment. Tailored for individuals eager to deeply engage with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and equity, the program aims to develop the next generation of consultants equipped to navigate and influence these critical areas. With only 5 spots available annually, this highly competitive program seeks to transform passionate individuals into skilled professionals capable of driving change in educational practices.

This program demands dedication and hard work. Participants are expected to meet monthly milestones, participate actively in cohort meetings (or review recordings if unable to attend live), and contribute thoughtful reflections to foster a collaborative learning environment. Deadlines are non-negotiable, mirroring the consultancy landscape's demand for timeliness and excellence.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years as a PK-12 educator. 
  • Passion for education, equity, and inclusivity.
  • Demonstrated interest in UDL, equity, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in diverse teams.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and growth.
  • Open to candidates from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Requirements

  • Actively engage in the training curriculum focusing on UDL and equity principles.
  • Meet all program deadlines as outlined in the training curriculum. 
  • Collaborate on UDL and equity-driven projects, applying learned strategies to promote inclusive and equitable practices.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and insights to UDL and equity initiatives.
  • Ability to present virtually in evenings up to 8 hours per month and 1-2 full days of PD per month (does not guarantee work, but ensures your schedule has the flexibility to commit to part-time consulting work in the future).

We encourage applications from diverse backgrounds, especially those with experience in special education, urban education, secondary mathematics, and multilingual education, who are deeply committed to making education accessible and equitable for all.

    1. Complete the application form and all required fields (inclusive of a resume/CV, video cover letter, and references). All applications are due by April 30th, 2024.
    2. Our team will notify applicants during May 2024. If your application is selected to proceed, you will be required to have 1-2 interviews via video call prior to acceptance into the program.
    3. The Program will begin in July 2024 and run through June 2025.
